An exciting opportunity for an individual with commitment to performance excellence has arisen within the ICT Department. Reporting to the Team Leader-Infrastructure & Security the main purpose for the role will be to ascertain that all Databases in Housing Finance Domain are in good condition and the performance is at optimum level to ease information access by users and ensure business continuity.
Key accountabilities will include:
• Conduct periodic database and server maintenance to improve system performance.
• Attend to user requests and queries on connectivity and infrastructure for system use
• Issue system access rights corresponding to user roles and security classes to safeguard against unauthorized system access.
• Conducting routine and periodic system updates to enable smooth running of the core banking system
Education, Experience, Skills and Attributes:
• An ICT related degree from a recognized institution.
• Possess Sybase, Oracle, MS SQL or other database Certification and / or Unix certification.
• 2 years working experience with banking applications in a busy environment.
• Demonstrate good understanding of database and systems administration, networking skills.
• Demonstrate good understanding of risk assessment and disaster management skills.
• Demonstrate good qualitative analysis skills.
• Good interpersonal skills, a team player and result oriented.
