Housing Finance returns to property supply

May 9, 2012 … Leading mortgage financier, Housing Finance has made a grand return to property supply after a 13 years absence. The firm through its subsidiary, Kenya Building Society (KBS), is set to construct 162 maisonettes and an elaborate commercial centre on a piece of land measuring 13 acres in Komarock.

Housing Finance credit and cost management measures drive profits up 11 percent

April 24, 2012 … Housing Finance cost management and credit risk measures have driven the mortgage firm to post an 11 percent growth in profit before tax in the first quarter of 2012 of Kshs 190 million up from Kshs 171 million in a similar period in 2011.

Housing Finance receives European Investment Bank Funding

Kenyan small and medium sized businesses will benefit from increased access to long-term and attractive funding in local and foreign currency under a new EUR 70 million European Investment Bank lending scheme with leading Kenyan banks. Under the initiative launched in Nairobi today Co-operative Bank and Housing Finance Company Limited will use European Investment Bank funding to finance SME investment.

February 22, 2012 … Leading mortgage financier, Housing Finance has defied an economic downturn to post an impressive 74 percent jump in profits for the full-year 2011 of Kshs 975.8 million compared to Kshs 561 million the previous year.
